Not RIDE but CARRY

The Rainbow Bridge is a big bridge crossing Tokyo Bay between Shibaura Pier and the Odaiba.
It's like The Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan and Brooklyn...maybe.
However, it is NOT allowed to ride bike...;(
I've heard that we cross the bridge by bike...with a CARRIER!

The bridge staff attached the carrier with my bike...

Then, I carried my bike. The distance was 798m.

Jyogashima ride

After the Tohoku earthquake, I went to MIURA ISLAND.
Don't worry about that, TOKYO-KANAGAWA was ok. no tsunami.

Go to KAMAKURA

Kamakura is a coastal town in Kanagawa, less than an hour south of TOKYO.
How about by bike? yeah, it takes 2.5hrs.

Okinawa century ride

I joined to the 2nd Chura Shima Okinawa Century Run 2011.
Yeah, I completed the century course, 100mile/160km!
However... it was crazy condition to ride, strong wind, rain and cold.

Opening of Japan

Have you ever heard "Matthew C.Perry"? He is the historic person for the modern Japan.

When he came to JAPAN in 1852, Japan shut out other countries. Mr.Perry contacted to JAPAN

and worked to open.So, he is the symbol the opening of Japan.

The last week, I visited to the park of Perry, at Yokosuka city.Here is the monument for Mr.Perry.

Yeah, I feel the historic movement! and i ran about 60km...hu-so tough work.

TOKYO Tower

Have you ever visited to TOKYO Tower?

This photo was taken last month. It was the 1st ride of 2010 for me to the tower. (Not so far, but so cold!)
I never seen TOKYO Tower from the feet. Wao, it's so fun, isn't it?

Goodbye Autumn

On Saturday(maybe the nice weather and season for cycling), we went to SAITAMA, CHICHIBU where is north tokyo.

I carried with my bike(11kg...little heavy) by train and transferred 3times.
Unfortunately I couldn't have a seat...so tired.
The member was meeting at Mitsumine station and setting each of bikes.


Let's go!!!....oops! One of bike got a flat tire...
Apparently, he stepped on a thumbtack..;(


After changing tube, we started again.
WAO! turning yellow and red leaves are beautiful!

Mount FUJI

There are many rivers in TYO, especially one of famous cycle road is TAMA river.

Last week, my bike SNS member and me cycled along TAMA river.
yeah! It's a clear/beautiful sky! We could see Mount FUJI.



I wonder why the japanese are impressed with this mountain...???

Anyway, this trip is continued...:)
